Yes, telehealth appointments are available for appropriate conditions. You will receive a Zoom meeting link via email the day of your appointment. Please aim to find a quiet space with steady internet connection. Please contact us to request a telehealth appointment.

Bring any referrals, imaging (X-rays, MRIs), and relevant medical history. Please also complete the intake form sent to you prior to your appointment — this helps your physiotherapist prepare and optimise your care. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being treated.

If your Extras cover includes physiotherapy or exercise physiology, you’ll eligible to claim your appointment through your private health insurance. Please bring your physical or digital health fund card to your appointment so we can process your claim on the spot.
If you don’t have your card with you, we won’t be able to process the claim at the time of your appointment. However, you can still submit the claim directly to your health fund and seek reimbursement afterward.

The rebate amount depends on your fund and level of cover. For an exact out-of-pocket estimate, contact your insurer prior to your appointment.
Our physiotherapists have different levels of training, specialisation, and clinical experience, our fees reflect this. We believe you should know who you’re seeing and why.
Our team includes:
  • Specialist Physiotherapists — awarded the Fellowship of the Australian College of Physiotherapists (FACP), the highest clinical recognition in the profession. Our specialists hold titles in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy.
  • Expert/Titled Physiotherapists — holding titles in Sports or Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, or having extensive experience in specialised areas such as Paediatrics, Neurological, Pelvic Health or Vestibular.
  • Senior Physiotherapists — experienced clinicians with additional training or special interest in areas such as Pelvic Health and Sports rehabilitation. Several of our Senior Physiotherapists are also actively involved in research.
  • Physiotherapists — skilled clinicians providing high-quality care across a range of presentations.
This depth of expertise is not common at most physiotherapy clinics. For current fee information, or if you’re unsure which tier suits your situation, contact our friendly reception team.

Yes, we do accept compensable patients. However, we do not bill the insurer directly. Full payment is required at the time of your appointment, billed at our scheduled fee and you can claim reimbursement from Work Cover or TAC after treatment. There may be a gap payment for our Senior, Expert and Specialist tier physiotherapists because compensable schemes don’t cover the full consultation fee. You must provide your claim number and approval paperwork prior to booking, or at the time of your appointment — our reception team will help with paperwork and treatment updates.

For Medicare GP Chronic Condition Management Plans (GPCCMP, formerly EPC) referrals, payment is required at the appointment, and we lodge your Medicare claim via Tyro Health Online. The rebate will be processed back into the Medicare linked account. Bulk billing is not available. Medicare allows up to 5 subsidised sessions per calendar year. Please bring your GPCCMP paperwork to your appointment or email a copy to admin@cliftonhillphysiotherapy.com.au prior to your appointment.

An internal vaginal or rectal examination may be recommended as part of your pelvic floor assessment, but it is never compulsory. You will always be informed of alternatives, and your participation in any aspect of the assessment is entirely your choice — you are welcome to change your mind at any stage. We will always seek your informed consent, respect your preferences, and your care will never be compromised by your choices.

Yes, you can still attend your pelvic health appointment while on your period. Menstruation will not affect your assessment or treatment. However, if you would feel more comfortable rescheduling your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

Yes! Most of our physiotherapists are trained in treating mastitis using therapeutic ultrasound — a safe, evidence-based, non-invasive, and painless treatment. High-frequency sound waves are administered into the breast tissue, generating gentle microscopic vibrations and warmth that reduce inflammation, soften blockages, and promote milk flow.Best practice typically consists of 3 sessions and we encourage you to bring your baby, as breastfeeding after your session can maximise the benefits of treatment.Your physiotherapist will also provide education on self-management strategies including rest, gentle massage, appropriate use of heat and cold, and breastfeeding advice to reduce the risk of future recurrence.
Please note that if you are feeling unwell or have signs of infection such as fever or flu-like symptoms, we recommend seeing your GP before or alongside physiotherapy treatment, as antibiotics may be required.
