Amelia Waller

Clinical Exercise Instructor

Amelia (aka Mil) has been with our team since early 2023 as a Clinical Exercise Instructor. She is a fully trained APPI Matwork and Equipment Pilates Instructor, and recently graduated from Deakin with a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology. An Exercise Physiologist (or EP) is an allied health practitioner with university qualifications in delivering safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities.
Mil began doing Pilates at 15, when she was injured as a springboard and platform diver. Pilates helped her to regain confidence in her body and abilities, and she is passionate about helping others do the same. Her background as an athlete sparked her interest in exercise and she went on to complete a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science, train as a clinical Pilates instructor, and volunteer as a research assistant in cancer and cardiovascular disease. She hopes to one day be involved in research, to help find lifestyle and exercise management strategies for people living with chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, psychiatric conditions, pelvic floor conditions, chronic pain, and progressive neurological conditions.
